Party Boards are EVERYTHING right now! With limitless options, these boards are the perfect way to entertain at any size party or simply your next family meal! Party boards are put together with as few or as many ingredients as you’d like, according to theme or meal. They have exploded in popularity most recently and you can find pictures and inspiration for your next board all over the internet. These creative and delicious boards take their inspiration from the classic charcuterie board, an expand on its origin. The most basic and popular is the charcuterie board or antipasto board that generally includes a variety of meats, cheese, condiments and sauces or spreads.
Meal time boards are also super popular, with board themes like Brunch, Pancakes, Sandwiches, S’mores, BBQ, Salads, Burger Boards and more! There are endless possibilities and options when it comes to creating these boards and there is no wrong answer! These are also a great way to get kids and guests involved at dinner time, allowing the diners to pick and choose their food items, toppings and “accessories”.
Let’s explore some board themes. A great board to start with is breakfast. Lets go with pancakes and include bacon, sausage, syrups, butters, chocolate chips, bananas and berries. This is a whole meal on a board and guests get to choose their toppings and sides. Burger boards work the same way, starting by picking your protein, lets say beef burgers and chicken breast. The board would also include lettuce, tomatoes, onions, condiments such as mayo, mustard, ketchup or any homemade choice of spread, as well as choice of bun or bread and sides like potato salad, coleslaw, pickles etc. A dessert board for your next event could be a build your own cupcake board. A variety a cupcake flavors, pre-baked could be surrounded with a few selections of fillings, frostings and toppings to create your own unique flavor profile and creation.
